Yet the year-on-year decline in cumulative arrivals means channels should not rely on high-season assumptions alone. 2. Local media report Manta Air plans to leave scheduled domestic services within three to six months

Dhivehi outlet Adhadhu reported on 9 September that Manta Air plans to phase out ATR domestic scheduled flights within three to six months and focus on seaplanes, with employees reportedly informed. The report expressly says Manta Air has not publicly confirmed the decision. Its domestic network involves airports including Dharavandhoo, Ifuru and Madivaru; if implemented, the move would change carrier choice for parts of the outer atolls.

3. MMA again warns against exchanging foreign currency through unlicensed channels

On 10 September, the Maldives Monetary Authority again reminded the public and businesses to transact foreign exchange only through licensed banks or authorised money changers. Local media also reported that police had logged 65 reports related to black-market foreign exchange. The warning directly affects resort, DMC, supplier and employee payments, where informal channels add compliance, fund-security and documentation risks during tight dollar supply.

Hotelier Maldives reported on 9 September that 威斯汀 (The Westin) will stage World Wellness Weekend from 18 to 20 September under the Move Well, Eat Well and Sleep Well pillars. Day one includes a sunrise walk, water volleyball at the main pool and a healthy food-and-drink workshop at Green Delight, followed across the programme by mindful movement, nutrition and recovery experiences. The activities target in-house guests, but the report does not state that every session is free or requires no booking.

Dolphin View: Honeymoon and anniversary clients can budget the published USD 475 net add-on, but confirm availability, allergens, beverage scope and weather cancellation or rescheduling. It is not a default all-inclusive meal-plan benefit.

6. 斯丹德 (The Standard) organises September local experiences by fixed weekday and time

On 9 September, 斯丹德 (The Standard) announced its monthly programme: Maldivian cooking every Tuesday from 11:00 to 13:00 at Guduguda, mixology from 15:30 to 16:30 at Todis Bar, beach cinema from 20:00 to 22:30, candle-making from 11:00 to 12:00, and Boduberu performances every Friday from 20:30 to 21:30.
